How much nursing experience do I need to work on an assignment through AHS?
All our local nursing contract positions require at least six months - 1 year of experience. Some facilities may require 2+ years of experience.
What do I need to be an agency nurse?
You must have a state nursing license along with other certifications or documents needed. BLS/CPR, ACLS (for Acute), physical or statement of good health, and up-to-date immunization records. Our team will help guide you through the requirements and the quick credentialing process.
How long are nursing assignments?
Assignments can vary based on if it's nonacute, acute, PRN, or per diem, but typically assignments last around 13-weeks. We do offer longer or shorter assignments/contracts that could be 4 or 8-week contracts. Once you have a profile with us you have full control over applying to assignments or shifts that work with your schedule.
